About Claire Englefield

Claire began cutting in 1986 by hand. She is self taught and worked originally in the fine furniture world, being married to a world renowned cabinet maker Alan Englefield. In 2000 Claire decided to move with the technological times and purchased a small laser to compliment the hand work as well as dealing with a vastly increasing demand. Claire is the owner and manager of Ace Marquetry.

The Cunard Queen Elizabeth foyer panel, designed by David Linley's design studio and produced by ACE Marquetry is now well under way.     Claire Englefield, the person behind ACE Marquetry, told me that it was the largest single piece of marquetry that she and her team have ever produced.
