About Alan Englefield

After three years of training at Rycote Wood College in Thame, Oxfordshire, Alan immediately began his own business making fine furniture for friends and family before finding a loyal group of clients across the world. He has been in this business for 27 years and has trained numerous cabinet makers to his standard.

He began making tables and other specialist pieces to commission and after three years, was asked to make a simple "house box" by David Linley & Co. Ltd. From then on, the orders have been increasingly complicated and Alan has risen to the challenge using his skills to the highest level and has made over 100 architectural boxes.
